ABSTRACT

Inflammation is a fundamental biological response to injury or infection, aiming to eliminate the cause, clear debris, and initiate repair. Characterized by redness, heat, swelling, and pain, it involves the recognition of harmful stimuli, release of mediators, immune cell migration, and resolution. Chronic inflammation, however, can damage tissues. Management involves lifestyle modifications like an antiinflammatory diet, exercise, stress management, and adequate sleep, often complemented by medications (NSAIDs, corticosteroids, DMARDs). Natural remedies like turmeric, ginger, and omega-3 fatty acids may also help. A holistic, personalized approach involving healthcare professionals is crucial for effective inflammation management and overall well-being.
