ABSTRACT
Biological synthesis of metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) utilizing plant, microorganisms and other sources has evolved as a sustainable alternative to harmful chemical-based approaches. Green-synthesized, eco-friendly MNPs has recently sparked interest due to their potential usage in a variety of biological applications. Several studies have shown that green-synthesised MNPs are beneficial in a variety of therapeutic applications, including antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and cancer treatment. Green synthesis method employing biological system for nanoparticles production is physiologically safe, cost-effective, and environmental friendly. This review focuses on the biogenic synthesis of nanoparticles using various biological systems, as well as their biomedical applications.
