ABSTRACT
Pharmaceutical packaging is defined as a container or closure system designed for the protection, identification and marketing of drug products, medical devices and nutraceuticals. The most widely used polymers for pharmaceutical packaging are low and high-density polyethylene and polypropylene (1). Plastic lasts in the environment for 20-1000’s of years leading to plasting pollution upon accumulation. The accumulation of plastics in the environment is a major concern due to the non-biodegradable nature of plastic. The disposal of plastic requires considerable energy expenditure, water use and adds to greenhouse gas emissions (2)
